Anyone else got a widebody E90? @sct_e90. Completely stock 2009 (n54) E90 w/ 55k miles, 6MT, and only 1 owner for $19k. I'm picking it up tomorrow!
194449 Discussion starter. 2518 posts · Joined 2010. #3 · Sep 11, 2011. It would appear that at least on some BMWs (including mine), the stock coils have a vertical line of colored dots painted on them. I recall mine appeared to be a faded out brown I'd have to go look again to be certain of that.
You can cross-reference this number with tables on the internet to find out that this identifies the ZD 5HP-24 transmission. The missing numbers are 24 00. The complete BMW number was therefore 24 00 1 423 302. Another common instruction is to look for the label on the transmission oil pan. . 242 952 460 492 7 407 234 418
