I’m trying the demo of HL2 E2 but I’m not sure if I should spend the full $20 on the orange box just to play HL2 & E1. I’ve already played portal and…
Yes and no. It’s full of details. After all, the Half-Life series is renowned for its deep and consistent worldbuilding, but compared to the original Half-Life, it does feel a little bit shallow in the places that matter most to me. Half-Life 2 is a first-person shooter game involving the element of resistance, and everything works in combination with the story. Overall great mod with engaging combat and usually very good level design, and particularly fantastic impressions of the combine. Downfall was also really fun, giving you a lot of Episode-2-like action.
