when i was looking around for my first T4 i was told by someone who knows these vans inside out and has been a vw mechanic for 30years that the 2.4's are the best engine to have, easy to work on and less to go wrong.

Had a call and a mates camper has died!!! its currently an old k reg full westfalia conversion with the 2.4d engine in it. the engine has dropped a piston/cracked summit basically fubard. BUT. will an engine and box from an 1.9d fit easily enough as my local breakers has one that could be v.cheap. dan.
Es un motor que puede pecar de junta culata y no puedes ir mucho a mas de 90 (es su velocidad optima para futuras averias) ya que sino sufre esos calentones que al final la culata va a tomar por culo.el motor suelen ser duros. Si esta muy bien de precio en esta epoca que la burbuja es maxima sino es conocida mirala muy bien porque es raro.
